It’s all about love, wouldn’t you agree? And we just can’t help falling in love with this setup, but then again, we may be bias…

When Kimberly from Kimberly Photography asked me to work with her on a styled shoot, which would be a part of Pardes Magazine’s February issue, love is all that came to mind. Not the simple traditional meaning of love, but the broad, often unnoticed kind of love. The love between friends, family and of course, significant others. This concept of love made me want to create something that is fitting to all relationships, something intimate but welcoming, which provokes excitement and laughter.

Incorporating the symbolic colors of love, red and pink, were a must and to be honest, gold looks great with everything! Once the color palette was decided, I knew extravagant beautiful florals cascading down the center of the table were next on my “have to have” list, so we knew this shoot could not be complete without the floral expertise of FH Weddings. After collaborating with the brilliance of Stephanie and Marty (from FH Weddings), the options were endless. They took my vision to a whole new level by adding rich purple accents, delicately embroidered chair covers, serene draping and an exquisite chandelier. It was simply flawless.

From a design perspective, it is important to notice how well the same family of colors pair together. When thinking about color schemes for your next event, do not be afraid to use colors that are similar, but accent each other. To tie it all together, add in a neutral such as gold or silver to help complement the palette.
